Hip Joint Dysplasia and Congenital Dislocation of the Femoral Head

Abstract

This teaching manual describes current methods of early detection and treatment of hip joint dysplasia and congenital dislocation of the femoral head in infants up to six months of age, considering medical advancements. Early diagnosis of these defects remains a relevant issue today, as clinical and diagnostic work at the outpatient level is assigned to general practitioners. Accordingly, the manual offers algorithms for early detection and treatment measures. The manual is intended for students of general medicine and pediatrics, interns and residents, pediatric surgeons, pediatric traumatologists and orthopedists, and general practitioners.
